Color, material and finish development and implementation, color strategy

The initial XBOX units were tied by extreme cost-sensitivity. Surface Work helped to maximize opportunities within those constraints and to develop some of the line’s signature elements, including the controller’s 3D button graphics. The fish-that-got-away was a 3D lightpipe jewel backed by lenticular images that was cost cut late in the project. Surface Work also consulted with XBOX on later versions of the 360 model.
