A reduction in package sizes for Procter & Gamble’s Downy line opened the opportunity to tweak the product’s signature twist containers. The new packages had to meet manufacturing, filling, shipping and merchandizing criteria while following design patent and marketing guidelines. Surface Work helped P&G create a more modern and feminine look by looping in new design resources and managing the exploration of alternative patterns, textures and colors. The happy result: a new twist.
